OpenVPN Version 3.0 multicore.

I read more and more people would like to have multicore support.
In the internet there are literally thousand+ people with modern routers and systems with multicore systems
who would like to use more then 25% of their resources for openVPN.

At the same time, I found posts about multicore functionality starting with Version 3.0
however, there is no such record any Version 3.0 is in development.

Can we expect a multicore version 3.0 openVPN within 2015-2016 or will this be something for the 2020 and later?
