Certificates stuff is quite complicated to grasp, but I did all I needed to make my OpenVPN servers running perfectly. I did it using Windows and provided batch files.
Now I want to add SSL/TLS to my hMailServer for added security when sending e-mail. All tutorials I have found make step-by-step type-in how to make your own CA and make your own SSL/TLS certs for e-mail. Currently I have my won OpenVPN server redirect all traffic connecting to it so I can connect first to it when on untrusted networks and have everything encrypted, but this is neither the fastest way nor the easiest for other non-tech users to remember.
Since I allready have established all the certs stuff (including my CA) needed for my OpenVPN using openssl, I believe there should be a way for me to make my e-mail certs using this existing setup. But, searchng for days, I came up empty.
Is this possible? Could someone point me how to do it?

Re: reuse existing CA for e-mail
can not edit any more: I can try to do it this way, but I do not know if I will mess up something which may be of importance at a later time. I do not want risking issuing certs for my OpenVPN servers and clients.
