OpenVPN client for Windows server 2012?

Post by HBiGQa89ZuOz » Thu Jun 29, 2017 3:27 pm

Hello,

We have an openbsd server with IKEv2/ipsec and need an off-site windows server 2012 to connect to it, automatically and transparently.

All attempts to install Microsoft's own VPN on WS2012 terminated with a Windows VPN server, and the demand for Active Directory. We do not use AD and we do not need WS2012 to serve VPN, however. All we need is an automatic and transparent client connection to the openbsd VPN server.

Then we uninstalled Microsoft's VPN, installed openVPN, and WS2012 wanted to be a VPN server again.

Cheap management wants us to use the existing WS2012 machine, so installing a companion openbsd server is not an option.

How would you proceed in this case?
