Export Control Questions - pre & post processing

Hi All,

New to the forum, hopefully this is the right area to ask two questions regarding pre & post processing for export control questions. I've seen these on Federal and IEEE checklists, but can't find how to answer them. Very frustrating. These are in regards to how OpenVPN / OpenSSL goes about processing the raw data for creating a symmetric key before and after encryption. Here goes:

4. Describe the pre-processing methods (e.g., data compression or data interleaving) that are applied to the plaintext data prior to encryption

5. Describe the post-processing methods (e.g., packetization, encapsulation) that are applied to the cipher text data after encryption
